The 2011 Giro D'italia route was revealed and it is the toughest of all the 3 big Tours.

Starts May 7 and finish 3 weeks later Sunday, May 29 in Milano Duomo. Riding a total of 3496 kms.
Climbing the Etna volcano in southern Sicily and a grand finale on the dirt road climb of the Colle delle Finestre near Sestriere., but also 40 major mountain climbs and seven mountain finishes and visiting 17 of the 20 regions of Italy during the three weeks of racing.
