The team has a great balance of talented riders able to win sprint stages with Caleb Ewan, Mountain stages with Esteban Chaves and General Classifications with Daryl Impey, Matteo Trentin and Miekl Nieve.

The famous Spanish team has hired Mikel Landa which is adding confusion to whom is the team leader among the Movistar as he is capable of beating is team mates Nairo Qunitana and Alejandro Valverde on the 3 weeks Grand Tour like the Tour de France or Giro D'Italia.
