Shimano Ultegra / XT 11 speed Chain CN-HG700-11 (HG-X11) compatibility

Shimano Ultegra / XT series 11 speed chain CN-HG700-11 has been developed to work with all Shimano 11 speed cassettes, Road and Mountain-Bike included.

Basically, CN-HG700-11 and CN-HG600-11 are the same chains (as CN-HG900-11 too) 

The only difference between those 3 chains is the Sil-Tec surface treatment. 

The CN-HG700 is treated on the pin links and roller link plates so it makes it faster and smoother than the CN-HG600 which has Sil-Tec treatment only on its roller link plates.

The CN-HG900-11 is entirely treated with Sil-Tec Ultra Low Friction.

You'll need Shimano TL-CN34 Shop Chain Tool 6/11-Speed or Shimano Tl CN28 Chain Toolto cut and fit the Shimano 11 speed chain on your bicycle.

Shimano TL-CN42 Chain Wear Indicator is practical to check when your chain needs replacement.

NOTE: The CN-HG700-11 chain has a forward side and a reverse side. You must mount it with the Shimano lettering on the links facing toward outside. This will ensure smooth shifting.

The Shimano Ultegra / XT series CN-HG700-11 (HG-X11) is compatible with the following cassette:
Dura-Ace CS9000, Ultegra 6800, 105 series CS-5800, XTR CS-M9000, XT CS-M8000.
