Look 566 Carbon Road frameset 2011 Specifications

Look 566 2011 frameset is available in 4 colors: Black/Light - White/Light / White/Red - White/Yellow

The 566 is the bike dedicated to comfort of the 2011 road range.
It was specially designed for cyclists looking for a highly versatile bike, and it is ideal for endurance tests. Yet the comfort is not at the detriment of performance: LOOK has the know-how allowing it to propose ultra-lightweight weight carbon frames without compromising the bike’s security and its performance. It is designed to be both rigid in strategic places (for example its crankset casing) while remaining comfortable.

New “sloping” geometry:
The 566 adopts a new geometry also designed to increase the sensation of comfort on the bike. The height of the head tube was reviewed upwards whereas the length of the frame remains in the standard values. This geometry thus allows a comfortable position while supporting without problem use in competition. The sloping is increased so as to allow an important saddle stem outlet which, associated to a saddle stem diameter of 27.2 mm, favours comfort on the bike.
Bottom Bracket BSA threading - Width 68mm.
Weighing 1100g.

Confort Carbon Design Fork:
The fork of the 566 is a 100% single-piece carbon part. Its shape is studied to increase the cyclist’s comfort and the riding stability.
The fork’s head is widened and presents a conical carbon bearing holder, allowing greater resistance of the fork and increased bike stability
The fork’s arms start from this oversized section and taper down to increase its capacity to absorb shocks.
Fork 350g uncut.
The fork also utilizes the Look patented integrated conical carbon crown found on all forks (45 ° bearing angle).

”X design” stays:
The bases and stays are designed with a very flat section in their centre that increases their capacity to absorb vibrations. The flattening operates a bit like a “bending point” on the carbon tube.
At the same time as we increase the width of the tube, we increase the lateral rigidity of the whole rear of the frame. The upper tube also presents a flattened section that allows it to accept greater distortion on the vertical plane.

Frame sizes:
XS 49cm / S 51cm / M 53cm / L 55cm / XL 57cm

Mcipollni bikes 2011 RB1000 & RB800

When you get a great cycling champion such as Mario Cipollini making his own bikes, the result is simply outstanding machines.

Very often ex-racers surf on their popularity to capitalize their image with their own brands, very often, the brand disapear after few years as the fame passes away.
Here, in a truly italian style, very charismatic racer, mix knowledge, design, local know how to create machine that really smells Race all over it.

For 2011, 2 models are proposed, the RB1000 and the RB800. The RB1000 is the top of the range with a very strong identity (weight 1050gr size 54cm), the RB800 have a more "normal" design (weight 970gr size 54cm).

Great video presenting the 2011 model launch.

The frame are real Carbon monocoque, that is rare, despite most manufacturer claiming "monocoque" frames, they are most of the time built with a front and rear triangle assembly.
Here, the frame is a real one piece, making it a very strong (read stiff) frame and staying very lightweight.
It is easy to see Mario's sprinter experience, the frame is simply massive where is it usually lacking stiffness; The rear drop out / seat stays, the BB connection, the front fork.
This bike is made for speed!
The superb RB1000. Frame truly Made in Italy using T1000 carbon fiber. Headtube is huge, it is oversized with a top diameter of 1 1/4" and the bottom 1 1/2".
RB1000 with Shimano Dura-Ace DI2 and Lightweight Standard IIIM RA16 - RP20 Carbon wheels retail for 12.000 euros in Europa. The frame is available in 7 sizing and 5 colors choices.
