I follow Danny MacAskill riding skill improvement throughout the years and the latest street trial video is simply putting the bar even higher, this guy is just an alien on a bike.

Mcipollni bikes 2011 RB1000 & RB800

When you get a great cycling champion such as Mario Cipollini making his own bikes, the result is simply outstanding machines.

Very often ex-racers surf on their popularity to capitalize their image with their own brands, very often, the brand disapear after few years as the fame passes away.
Here, in a truly italian style, very charismatic racer, mix knowledge, design, local know how to create machine that really smells Race all over it.

For 2011, 2 models are proposed, the RB1000 and the RB800. The RB1000 is the top of the range with a very strong identity (weight 1050gr size 54cm), the RB800 have a more "normal" design (weight 970gr size 54cm).

Great video presenting the 2011 model launch.

The frame are real Carbon monocoque, that is rare, despite most manufacturer claiming "monocoque" frames, they are most of the time built with a front and rear triangle assembly.
Here, the frame is a real one piece, making it a very strong (read stiff) frame and staying very lightweight.
It is easy to see Mario's sprinter experience, the frame is simply massive where is it usually lacking stiffness; The rear drop out / seat stays, the BB connection, the front fork.
This bike is made for speed!
The superb RB1000. Frame truly Made in Italy using T1000 carbon fiber. Headtube is huge, it is oversized with a top diameter of 1 1/4" and the bottom 1 1/2".
RB1000 with Shimano Dura-Ace DI2 and Lightweight Standard IIIM RA16 - RP20 Carbon wheels retail for 12.000 euros in Europa. The frame is available in 7 sizing and 5 colors choices.

Great job Super Mario! Wishing you a long and successful business career.

Look x Lacoste Trendy City Bike 2011

Jumping in the fashionable city bikes / singlespeed bandwagon, french clothes brand Lacoste teamed with another french brand Look to build a rather nice designed city bike using a Retro Chic style, but with modern features.
The bike feature a belt transmission turning around a Rohloff hub inner gear, rear LED lights are directly implanted in the frame and both rear and front lights are powered by the front dynamo hub.

The bike features a nice white color Brooks saddle and a rather nice Lacoste original saddle bag.
Smart bike for the posh city dweller for sure.
