Sram's Force GXP Chainset is an all-carbon construction with carbon arms built on an aluminium spline, along with a carbon spider to further reduce weight. The Force crankset has an integrated BB spindle similar to Shimano's Hollowtech II system to provide you with optimum drivetrain stiffness.
The Sram GXP bearing system however varies from the Shimano system, unlike Shimano's Hollowtech II BB system, the GXP bearings aren't pre-loaded. This reduces the amount of drag associated with a preloaded system. Since GXP bearings aren't pre-loaded, all you'll need to do is ride a few hundred miles to break in the bearing seals, and suddenly your SRAM BB will spin extremely freely.
